These are the most common questions we receive:
It’s time when you’re stretched so thin that even taking a vacation means you’re still answering emails and putting out fires. If key tasks keep slipping or your senior staff are buried in admin work instead of growing the business, you’re likely leaving money on the table. When you feel stuck at your current capacity or like you can’t step away without everything grinding to a halt, a VA can take routine work off your plate so you and your team can focus on clients, growth, and a lot more breathing room.
Two things.
#1: We’re run by a person who also owns 2 insurance agencies. That means we know exactly what you need as an agency owner, and can cater exactly to your needs.
#2: We primarily outsource to first-language English speakers in South Africa, which makes communication a breeze. We only work with second-language English speakers when we need Spanish-speaking help.
South Africans are culturally aligned with Western business practices, making it easy to integrate into U.S. agency teams. You’ll get the skills and reliability you need without the frustration of miscommunication for 40–60% less than it would cost you to hire locally. Many South Africans are underemployed locally and eager for international remote opportunities. This means when we hire them, they are grateful for the stability, which translates into long-term commitment to your success.
South Africa is 6–7 hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time (depending on daylight savings), but your VA will still be working right alongside you during your day. Even better, some tasks can be prepped “overnight,” so they’re ready to go when your U.S. team logs in. You’ll be able to collaborate in real time instead of waiting until the next day for replies or progress. With that kind of flexibility and strong communication skills, your VA quickly feels like part of your own team.
When you delegate the day-to-day tasks, you free yourself to focus on strategy, sales, and growth. You want your VA to keep the machine running so you can redirect savings into things like hiring more producers, upgrading technology, or even expanding into new lines of business. Our customers consistently tell us their VA not only saves them money but gives them back their time—arguably the most valuable resource in business.
They can be used for both back-office support and customer-facing tasks. Here is a list of tasks they can take on:
- Customer service (calls, emails, renewals, reminders)
- Quoting & submissions (ACORD forms, rater systems, proposals)
- Policy servicing (endorsements, renewals, cancellations)
- Certificates & documentation (COIs, compliance logs)
- Claims support (FNOL, status updates, follow-ups)
- Back-office admin (data entry, billing, inbox management)
- Sales & marketing support (leads, campaigns, social media)
Every VA goes through a thorough vetting process before joining Remote Insurance Team. From education and work experience to communication and professionalism, we check it all. Each candidate takes a tailored assessment and completes interviews with our leadership team. By the time they get to you, they’re ready to add value from day one.
That depends on your needs. Many of our customers save 40–60% on labor costs while still gaining highly qualified support. The time and budget you get back by hiring a VA is time and money you can reinvest into your business. Give us a call at 813-736-6838 or email hello@remoteinsuranceteam.com to get a quote.
Agencies typically see 100–200% ROI in the first few months, climbing to 200–300%+ as VAs fully integrate. This is especially true when your freed senior staff’s time is used to generate additional business. Your VA will be there to take on tasks that bog your in-house employees down. They, too, will be grateful for the help and feel better supported. By shifting routine work off your plate, you’re able to focus on high-value activities that drive revenue. Think of your VA not as a cost, but as a growth partner.
We move quickly. Once we understand your needs, we match you with the right VA. We also allow you to be a part of the selection process if you’d like. We are constantly providing insurance-specific training to our VAs even before we have an agency to match them with. Within a week or two after the selection process, we get them up to speed on your needs and systems, and we can transition them to you. Once you have your full-time VA on board, you’ll wonder how you got as far as you did without them.
